A Pre-Vacation Update: The Truth About MDG1 Unlocking
Before we head out for the summer break, we wanted to share a few important thoughts with you regarding the current state of Bosch MDG1 unlocking.
Recently, you may have seen a new unlocking method hit the market that relies on voltage glitching. We want to make one thing absolutely clear: we do not use this method for the ECUs you send to our workshop. When you trust us with your hardware, your control units will never be subjected to that kind of volatile attack.
The Hidden Risks of Voltage Glitching
Standard voltage glitching methods carry massive, inherent risks. By forcing sudden voltage drops and injecting brutal power fluctuations directly into the processor’s main supply line, it creates severe overcurrents and spikes. For tuners, this means experimenting on the "dark side" of hardware modification:
-
Catastrophic Hardware Failure: A single badly timed spike can instantly fry the main processor, permanently destroying an expensive customer ECU.
-
Unreliability & Permanent Damage: It is an unstable process, leading to frustratingly low success rates and risks of degrading the internal silicon forever.
Why We Held Back Our Current System
To be completely transparent, the professional system we currently use in-house has never been released to the public because it requires extensive modifications to our hardware and relies on highly expensive components. We realized that putting such a costly solution on the market simply wouldn't be competitive—no one would have bought it.
Giving the Market What It Asks For?
However, we cannot ignore the massive wave of interest and the huge market demand surrounding this voltage glitching method. Even though many clients are already experiencing the dark side of this solution—dealing with dead ECUs and endless bench struggles—the request for a tool remains massive.
It goes completely against our strict philosophy to provide our clients with dangerous or hazardous tools. Yet, seeing the overwhelming demand, we are currently considering the idea of releasing a voltage glitching solution ourselves. If the market desperately wants to go down this route, we might just give you our take on it, despite the risks involved.
See You on July 20th!
We are going to use our vacation time to clear our heads and do some serious brainstorming on this topic and how to approach it.
Oh, and just one more thing...
Before we pack our bags, let’s not forget that there is always a third way to achieve the unlock: you could just use leaked factory data and stolen industrial intellectual property. But hey, that involves a crash course in international copyright law and high-profile corporate lawsuits, and well... that is a whole different story. Let's stick to hardware for now.
Enjoy your break, stay safe, and mark your calendars for Monday, July 20th, when we will return with major updates and more information.
Have a great summer

FULL OBD
FORD CONTINENTAL SID212: R/VR/W/CHK/Recovery
This new FULL OBD protocol allows you to manage the map area of the CONTINENTAL SID212 ( EVO ) ECUs.
Bench unlocking is not required. This OBD protocol can also be used on the bench if you are working with the ECU alone. Protocol is exceptionally fast — approximately 3 minutes for both reading and writing.
Note: This protocol is designed for ECUs that have not been previously tampered with by other tools that modify RSA keys or Seed/Key access levels for OBD communication.

Warning: SGW Bypass may be required for OBD programming.
The OBD protocol can also be used with the ECU on the bench.

SW Release 3.2.0.281 – Expansion of OBD Writing Protocols (Porsche .PDX)
Building on the proven architecture of our VAG .FRF, .ODX, and .SGO writing tool, we are pleased to announce the deployment of OBD support for Porsche .PDX files. This update extends our flashing capabilities to both Porsche ECU and TCU modules.
Key Technical Details:
-
Protocol Consistency: The workflow remains identical to our existing VAG OBD tool, ensuring a seamless transition for current users.
-
Initial Database: Our online repository currently hosts over 1,500 validated .PDX files.
-
Ongoing Development: We are committed to scaling this database. User-submitted logs and files will play a critical role in our roadmap to expand coverage.
